BOOK REPORT and PROJECT SCHEDULE –  2011-2012

The following is a list of the book reports for 2011-2012.  ALL choices MUST be approved by me. The formats for the book reports are different for each month and will be given out in class as well as posted on the MSMS web page. Begin reading in a timely manner in the event that you may want to make a different choice.  All changes in book choice MUST be approved by me two weeks before the report is due. Do not choose a book that has been made into a movie, nor one that is on any MSMS summer reading list, nor one that you have read before.

October: FICTION.

·        Book must be approved by September 16^th

·        Report is due by October 21st.

• Format – Follow the Book Report Guidelines.

November:  An oral book report based on a mystery/adventure story.

• Books must be approved by November 4^th.
• Oral reports begin December 5^th.
• Use notes to present your ORAL report.

January: Movie Review:  Create an eye-catching poster board, video,

            or brochure. A parent/guardian must submit a note of consent for 

anyone viewing an R rated movie.

• Movie title must be approved by December 16^th.
• Review is due January 18^th.

February: Biography or Autobiography of an African-American.

• Book must be approved by February 1^st.
• Report is due February 29^th.

March/April:  Science Fiction/Fantasy.

• Book must be approved by March 9^th
• Report is due March 23^rd .

APRIL/May: Fiction or Nonfiction; Mystery, Adventure! You choose.

• Book must be approved by April 6^th.
• Use notes to present your ORAL report.
• Oral reports begin May 4^th   .
